
Andrea Lukács, PhD, habil is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Miskolc. She is the head of the Institute of Theoretical Health Sciences and the vice-dean for research and international affairs at the Faculty. As the president of the Faculty’s Scientific Student Council, she organizes the Scientific Student Conferences and Scientific Student Competitions. As editor-in-chief, she leads the publication of the Faculty’s Journal for Health Sciences. She is a member of the editorial boards of the journals Health Problems of Civilization and Health Promotion & Physical Activity, and a regular reviewer for the journal Frontiers in Clinical Diabetes and Healthcare. She is a member of the Hungarian Diabetes Association and the Psychosocial Aspects of Diabetes (PSAD) working group. She has given presentations at numerous national and international conferences and published several articles and has authored numerous articles in highly regarded journals, contributing significantly to the field of health sciences. She has an H-index of 16 and a total impact factor of 57.68. Her primary research focuses on the psychosocial aspects of childhood diabetes, as well as the study of physical activity and physical fitness. Her research interests also extend to health behavior in various populations.
