
Ph.D. Lajos Csincsik is a postdoctoral researcher and scientific associate at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. He began his university studies in Szeged, Hungary, and after a brief period, he continued them in the United Kingdom. In his work, he develops and applies modern retinal image analysis techniques to study retinal alterations in various neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and age-related macular degeneration. His research aims to develop reliable and accessible biomarkers that can help diagnose and monitor the progression of these conditions. In addition to his research, he is also keen on mentoring, helping university students in their daily academic lives.
